Light of dawn
Dance in the type of prelude to open the chapter of five-thousand history of Korea. This ritual dance is created by borrowing the type of ¡®Gainjeonmokdan,¡¯ which is court prays peace.
Pansori
The inherited long history is sung by one person with the beat of drum. This is a kind of opera type song where one person plays one hundred casts. Especially, Pansori was registered as world cultural heritage by being recognized its unique artistry, and it is managed as Nation¡¯s important intangible cultural asset No. 5.
Korean fan dance
A crane and a scholar are strolling with dignity. Butterflies are coming and they become flowers. This dance is depicts the flowers and cranes in the beautiful nature. You will see the most splendid scene of Korean folk dance. This line and elegance of Korea is displayed vividly in this flower-like Dance with court dress and peony flowers fans.
Pungmul Nori-Instrumental Play
Pungmul Nori is the name of a traditional musical performance involving a number of musicians playing percussion instruments such as Kkwaenggwari(small gong),Janggu(hourglass drum),Buk(barrel drum),Jing(large gong),and Sogo(hand drum) with ceremonial dance movements. Formed when Korea was developing into an agricultural society, this musical performance has been to Korean People, farmers in particular, a great source of entertainment and refreshment to get over harsh reality.,
Ganggang Sullae
Largely regarded as a legacy of the agricultural rites from early Korean history, this traditional circle dance was typically danced by village women holding one another by hand at a special festive occasion, the Harvest Moon Festival(Hangawi) in particular. It was inscribed on the UNESCO¡¯s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.
Sinawi
This sinawi makes shamanism music in Southern area of Korea as instrumental music. This is the best folk music ensemble. It is composed of eight instruments-Gayageum, Geomungo,Haegeum,Ajaeng,Piri,Daegeum,Janggo and Jing. This solo to show the characteristic of the instrument during the ensemble makes this music even more distinct.
O-go-mu-Five drum dance
The ground restrict and embrace human. The five drums make the sound of land like mother from the lives on the land which has been continuously plowed up. This solid drum sound rock the inside of the deep and heavy ground, and the fine and soft dance of the dancers echo the glory and joy from ground.
Cheoyoungmu
A mask dance originated the Tale of Cheoyong formed during the regin of King Heongang, the 49th ruler of Silla, Cheoyoungmu is marked by masculine movements and exorcist elements. Regularly performed for important ceremonies an rites held at the royal court of Joseon, the dance was put to the UNESCO¡¯s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in September 2009.
Ilmu-Line Dance
Ilmu refers to the ceremonial dance performed at an official court banquet or a seasonal rite held to honor the royal ancestors of the Joseon Dynasty at the Jongmyo Shrine or Confucius and his great disciples at the Munmyo Shrine. The royal Ancestral Rite and Ritual Music in Jongmyo Shrine was inscribed on the UNESCO¡¯s list of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2001.
Salpuri
Salpuri is the last order in ¡®Gut¡¯ which is the ceremony of Korean folk Religion. It means to drive out ¡®evil spirit¡¯ The beauty of curve from the long and white silk towel is excellent. This dance well express unique emotion of Korea such as stylishness, pleasure and regret.
The grand concert of drums
The rhythm and beat from all over the country all kinds of drums in the country are gathered in this place. The color of the drum dance which is changed according to high and low rhythm and beat is shown ad possible as it can. This was first performed by dance director, Kuk, Su-ho in 1985, and this masterpiece in this century has been performed in more than 50 countries.
